IT IS INTENDED TO ENLARGE AND STRENGTHEN THE SERVICES OF THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM POLICE DEPARTMENT MOUNTED PATROL UNIT AND TO WORK WITH THE SAME: PROMOTE CIVIC SPIRIT IN SUPPORT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY; ENHANCE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE UNIT; RAISE FUNDS TO PROVIDE EQUIPMENT TO MAKE UNIT WORK SAFER AND MORE EFFECTIVE; PROMOTE A PUBLIC-POLICE PARTNERSHIP AND INCREASE PUBLIC COOPERATION; EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT SAFETY ISSUES AND IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY; SUPPLEMENT GOVERNMENT RESOURCES TO THE BETTERMENT OF THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM.
