THE MISHAWAKA FOOD PANTRY GAVE OUT FOOD TO 5,004 FAMILIES, WITH 11,134 MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN BEING SERVED AND PROVIDING THEM WITH FOOD FOR APPROXIMATELY 27,835 MEALS. 926 NEW HOUSEHOLDS WERE SERVED, WHICH EQUALED 1,929 NEW INDIVIDUALS. HOT LUNCHES WERE SERVED AT THE PANTRY TO 3,107 PEOPLE. ADDITIONAL SERVICES INCLUDING WEEKLY BAGS TO UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS (667), SHOWERS (684), WARMING AND COOLING CENTERS, AND FRESH PRODUCE FROM OUR GARDEN WERE PROVIDED AS WELL. THE FOOD PANTRY WAS OPEN 253 DAYS IN 2025. VOLUNTEERS GAVE 5,748.25 HOURS OF SERVICE VALUED AT 57,482.50, WHICH IS NOT REFLECTED IN REVENUES OR EXPENSES. SOME OF OUR VOLUNTEERS HAD RECEIVED GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE AND WERE WORKING TO "PAY BACK" WHAT THEY RECEIVED, BOOSTING THEIR SELF-ESTEEM WHILE PROVIDING A SERVICE TO PEOPLE IN NEED.
