Flying V kicked off our 2023 season with a week-long developmental workshop of the new coming-of-age musical Vanishing Girl. Bright college student Luciana has always felt invisible. She leans on her one best friend crushes on the girl at the comic shop from afar and toils at writing alone. Suddenly Luciana acquires electricity-related superpowers and finds that like a battery she's slowly fading out. Can she figure out how to be seen before it's too late? Vanishing Girl is a powerful new musical by William Yanesh music and lyrics and Hope Villanueva book and directed by Eric Jordan Young about feeling invisible and learning you're not.

Monstress is a brand new immersive horror experience from the theatre and R&D departments at Flying V that reimagines the legacy of the Manananggal previously contained to folklore.
