(UAI) BELIEVES THAT THE DOCUMENTED HEALTH THREATS CREATED BY POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS ARE VERY SERIOUS AND MAY LEAD TO THE INCREASED LIKELIHOOD OF PREMATURE BIRTHS TO PREGNANT WOMEN, INCREASED RISK OF STROKE AND HEART ATTACK, DEVELOPMENT OF AUTISM TRAITS IN INFANTS AND CHILDREN, OTHER BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS IN CHILDREN DUE TO PRENATAL EXPOSURE, AND HEIGHTENED OCCURRENCES OF ASTHMA AND ASTHMA COMPLICATIONS. UAI BELIEVES THAT THE UNDESIRED AND DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE USE OF THESE AROMATICS IN FUEL BLENDS HAVE LARGELY BEEN IGNORED IN THE PUBLIC POLICY DEBATE AND UNTIL PUBLIC AWARENESS IS RAISED AS TO THE DANGEROUS RISKS POSED BY THE CONTINUED USE OF THE TOXIC AROMATICS, BLENDERS AND RETAILERS OF GASOLINE WILL CONTINUE THEIR USE OF THE EXISTING BLEND RATIOS/RECIPES.
