This year we continued developing an apprenticeship and training program for builders, with a focus on design refinement, build documentation, training materials, and curriculum development. We have spent significant time on financial model development to support an initial cohort of 24 students, which we expect to launch in 2025. We are refining the curriculum to attract individuals who would normally go to trade school, but who are also interested in lifelong learning and career advancement to management roles. As such, we are creating a builder track, a construction manager track, and a 'college' track. The latter focuses on design thinking and solving pressing world issues. Our unique value proposition compared to trade schools is that we teach not only the build skills, but also design skills, and enterprise skills. The program focuses on housing and supporting construction machines, both their design and build. We are at a point where we think that the initial cohort of students will prove our rapid-learning curriculum model, so that we can accept additional cohorts on a rolling basis in the future. We are also designing a work-study option that will allow students to pay their way through the program. This helps both the students, and others interested in replicating our education model - to bootstrap their way without need for significant outside funding.
