This year we continued to help families rebuilding after the 7.2 earthquake that struck and destroyed thousands of homes in our area. We were able to rebuild 18 more block two bedroom homes. These homes were beuilt with a strong rebar and concrete foundation to sustain hurricane force winds. 18 families (126 individuals) benefitted from this project.

Our primary and secondary school taught over 300 students this past year and provided over 30 individuals with a sustainable income. In our community education is not free or paid for by tax dollars. Most families can't afford to educate their children thus the cycle of illiteracy continues. Caracolie Christian School teaches Science, Social Studies, Math, History, French, Haitian Creole, Physcial Education, Language Arts, Bible and English. Each child also recieves a hot lunch meal helping them fight malnourishment.

Our organization feels strongly about keeping families whole. One way we do this is by providing individuals an opportunity to earn a liveable sustainable wage. We were able to provide 53 jobs this year, meaning 53 families are able to be self-sustaining and help advance their communities.
