The 2017-18 Season was comprised of six world premier productions and The Writer's Den series. Productions included Bastard; Down in Mississippi; Milking Christmas; The Grave; and Tomorrow, Inshallah. The Living Room Theatre collaborated with Kokopelli Theatre Company and The William Inge Foundation to produce and participate in several events at the 2018 William Inge Theatre Festival which took place in Independence, Kansas in May. The Writer's Den series celebrates and cultivates the talents of prominent and promising local writers in the form of staged readings, workshop productions, and special events. Staged Readings included Spellbound: a Musical; The Ghost of Sloe Gin Jeffritz; and Stained. The Beginner Playwriting Showcase consisted of nine short plays by talented students of the Beginner Playwriting class. No Sleep November combined teams of playwrights, actors, designers, and production assistants who had one night and one day to create a new, vibrant, all-original short play. Then we opened the doors to the public for a one-time-only theatrical experience. We believe that the talent being born and bred in this city is immense, and should be given a proper place to grow.
