EQUINE RESCUE AND SANCTUARY - ROSEMARY FARM SANCTUARY SAVES EQUINES FROM SLAUGHTER, NEGLECT AND ABUSE. WE WORK WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS, AND ENGAGE DIRECTLY WITH SURRENDERING OWNERS TO PREVENT EQUINES FROM ENTERING THE SLAUGHTER PIPELINE. WE PROVIDE CARE, TRAINING AND SPACE FOR THESE EQUINES TO RECOVER MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. ONCE HERE, EQUINES LIVE IN HERD GROUPS IN A DYNAMIC NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, CREATING VITAL BONDS THAT ARE HONORED AND PROTECTED FOR LIFE. WHILE ADOPTION IS NOT OUR FOCUS, SOME MAY BE ADOPTED TO APPROVED HOMES UNDER A LIMITED CONTRACT THAT GUARANTEES THEIR SAFE RETURN IF NEEDED. WE ALSO FACILITATE RESCUE OF EQUINES IN NEED WHEN WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HELP DIRECTLY. WE ENDED THE YEAR WITH ~100 EQUINES IN OUR CARE. ROSEMARY FARM SANCTUARY REACHES THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ANNUALLY THROUGH CLINICS, TOURS, PUBLIC EVENTS, SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, WEB-BASED INFORMATION, EMAIL AND TELEPHONE, TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT THE WRETCHED CONDITIONS MANY HORSES SUFFER, AND HOW THEY CAN IMPROVE BOTH PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL GUARDIANSHIP OF HORSES.
