CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION ALL CLOTHING AND FURNITURE IS DONATED TO TREE OF LIFE, AND MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH TWO PARTS OF THE PROGRAM. THE FIRST IS A THRIFT SHOP WHOSE INCOME PAYS FOR THE OPERATIONAL EXPENSES OF THIS PROGRAM. TRIBAL LEADERS ASKED THAT WE AVOID HUMILIATING ITS PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM A BUYING-EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN A BEGGING-EXPERIENCE, WHICH WE DO THROUGH A BARGAIN PRICED THRIFT SHOP. HOWEVER, TO ASSIST THE HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS, THE RESIDENTS OF 2 FAMILY SHELTERS, ANYONE WHO HAS SUFFERED LOSS BY FIRES, AND FAMILIES WITH NO INCOME, WE ALSO HAVE A METHOD OF FREE DISTRIBUTION OF CLOTHING SO THAT NO ONE GOES WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. OPEN 200 DAYS EACH YEAR, ON AVERAGE 110 FAMILIES PER DAY ARE ASSISTED.
