RSN'S WORK CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LONG-TERM CAPACITIES IN REFUGEE HOST COUNTRIES AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS. TO THIS END, RSN SUPPORTS A LOCAL TURKISH NGO PARTNER IN THE OPERATION OF A LEGAL COMMUNITY CENTER WITH OFFICES IN THE CITIES OF ISTANBUL, IZMIR, AND VAN. THE CENTER OFFERS FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO REFUGEES IN TURKEY (INFORMATION, COUNSELING, AND REPRESENTATION) AND DEVELOPS REFERENCE MATERIALS FOR TURKISH LAWYERS ON REFUGEE LAW. OVER FY 2022, THE CENTER PROVIDED LEGAL SERVICES TO ABOUT 3,500 REFUGEES AND TRAINED 871 LAWYERS AND NGO STAFF. RSN PUBLISHED AN IMPACT ASSESSMENT DOCUMENTING THE COLLABORATIVE WORK WITH ITS PARTNER OVER THE LAST 7 YEARS ALONGSIDE A NUMBER OF OTHER REPORTS, INCLUDING THE COMPLETION OF A COMPLEX MULTI-COUNTRY RESEARCH STUDY FOCUSED ON LEGAL PROTECTIONS AVAILABLE TO ROHINGYA REFUGEES IN ASIA AND AN ANALYSIS OF FAMILY REUNIFICATION FOR REFUGEES LIVING IN TURKEY. RSN ALSO ENGAGED IN POLICY ADVOCACY FORUMS AND ORGANIZED EVENTS AND DISCUSSIONS IN THE US TO RAISE COMMUNITY AWARENESS ABOUT REFUGEES.
