The Lovepacs single programs purpose is to help mitigate the negative impact that inadequate nutrition has on the health and well-being of children and their ability to learn by providing nutritionally balanced, child- friendly food items on the extended breaks when school is not in session and they are unable to access school provided meals. Extended breaks include summers, Holidays and Spring Break. Food is sent home in marked boxes during the break to provide nurishment for the extended break. During the 2024-2025 school year, Lovepacs served over 1,074,000 meals to over 10,108 children in 318 public schools in the state of Texas during the school year and summer.
