2023 ACTIVITY:The Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Museum resumed its activities after two years of restoration from two fires. The Reading Under the Oak Program commenced in the summer of 2023 and the debate program is now back on track with training 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students the art of debate. The Museum has received a great number of visitors since reopening. Several busloads of visitors as well as walk-ups and appointments only visitors since March 2023. Book signings and viewing of the award winning documentary No Ways Tired: Kathlyn Joy Gilliam is shown to visitors.
