Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance (YHAA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance the wellbeing of older adults in Yolo County through collaboration, advocacy and education. YHAA works to identify and address gaps in services and connect people to the many resources and services throughout the County. YHAA focused on keeping older adults safe and healthy through a variety of services.During 2025:Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance (YHAA) advanced its mission to enhance the well-being of older adults in Yolo County through education, collaboration, and advocacy. YHAA provided direct services, expanded access to essential resources, and strengthened community-based supports for older adults, with a focus on low-income, rural, and culturally diverse populations.Through the Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), YHAA delivered case management and resource navigation services, connecting older adults to food, housing, healthcare, and other critical supports. YHAA led an impactful food distribution program from January through June of 2025, that addressed food insecurity, reduced social isolation, and connected older adults to case management and other services. Following that programs end, YHAA continued to support food distribution through a partnership with Meals on Wheels Yolo CountyYHAA supported aging safely at home through its Grab Bar Safety Program and promoted emergency preparedness by developing and distributing multilingual educational materials. To reduce isolation, YHAA matched older adults with volunteers for regular social connection and provided digital inclusion services, including technology training and access support to help older adults engage in telehealth, online services, and virtual communication.
