adoption promotions and events include hosting adoption events,and advertising & transportation of pets to & from adoption events. we maintain our own transport van and report $50.00 depreciation expense in 2025. we pay the Shelter's adoption fees as necessary. normal activities include photographing animals, preparing adoption biographies and promoting adoptable pets via social media platforms and community outreach efforts. volunteers maintain the organization's independent social media channels and assist with cross-posting animals to adoption & rescue networks. all these activities increase visibility and placement opportunities.

medical and supportive care for pets includes free or low cost spay/neuter programs, foster care supplies & support, plus heart worm treatments , diagnostics and major medical care for individual pet residents in the shelter, feral cat spay/neuter programs and kitten care programs. we provide pet medications, supplies and equipment as requested by the veterinary staff of the Citrus County FL Animal Shelter. assistance may also be provided to community residents whose pets require urgent medical care that might otherwise result in surrender to the Shelter.
