1) The Welcome and Essentials program serves recently-arrived migrants and asylum seekers by providing resources and essential goods directly to clients. Welcome and Essentials program staff members and volunteers distribute these goods by welcoming migrants to their resource warehouses and greeting newly-arrived migrants at the Chicago Greyhound bus station. 2) The Case Management program delivers trauma-informed care and access to various services. The Case Management team provides information and referrals to clients to help clients address their legal, medical, and daily living needs. The Case Management team also provides wraparound case management services to program participants by working with them to assess needs, plan services, set goals, and work towards self-sufficiency. The Case Management program works in collaboration with various volunteer groups that provide community-based, community-supported housing assistance so that families are supported by ICDI case managers and community members alike as they work toward self-sufficiency.
