THE WEST CHESTER FOOD CUPBOARD IS ONE OF THE LARGEST HUNGER RELIEF AGENCIES IN CHESTER COUNTY. WE ARE THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF FOOD ASSISTANCE FOR LOW- INCOME RESIDENTS LIVING IN AND AROUND THE WEST CHESTER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE WEST CHESTER FOOD CUPBOARD IS A 100% VOLUNTEER-RUN ORGANIZATION WITH NO PAID STAFF. THE FOOD IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE ON A MONTHLY BASIS. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, WE DISTRIBUTED 1,792,000 LBS. OF FOOD TO APPROXIMATELY 6,200 PEOPLE. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2023, WE DISTRIBUTED 1,604,000 LBS. OF FOOD TO APPROXIMATELY 6,000 PEOPLE. THE WEST CHESTER FOOD CUPBOARD RECEIVES CASH AND NON-CASH CONTRIBUTIONS AND GRANTS FROM LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENTS AND INDIVIDUALS.
