Reaching Out to Community and Kids (ROCK) Food Services: ROCK Food Distributions ROCK continued monthly food distributions throughout 2025 totaled 1396 boxes. Between January and December of 2025, ROCK served an average of 116 food boxes through drive-through distribution. Each box has nutritious makings for 7 meals for a family of 4 totaling 9772 meals for the entire year. November and December distributions included a hams and turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions. For all of our distributions, volunteers are needed to help shop, package and distribute, deliver, clean up for all distributions. Weekend Breakfast ROCK served school-aged children weekend healthy and nutritious breakfasts between June, July, & December. Breakfasts were passed out on Thursday afternoons from the ROCK building. ROCK distributed a total of 1101 breakfasts sent home for use when needed. The weekend breakfasts are designed to make it possible for the youth to choose which meal and prepare it themselves. Hot Summer Lunch Program ROCKs summer lunch program fed two nutritious and balanced hot lunches a week to children between the ages of 0-18 at the ROCK building. They also took a meal home to cook on their own. In 2025, 349 lunches were served with an average of 62 youth served per week for 6 weeks.

Reaching Out to Community and Kids (ROCK) Yearly EVENTS: ROCK estimates that we served over 645 unduplicated individuals from Dolores County, Pleasant View, CO and Egnar, CO.ROCK served over 246 unduplicated children and youth through our Youth Enrichment Services (YES) programming. ROCK had 3836 volunteer hours with unduplicated volunteer headcount of 149 throughout the year 2025.ROCK served approximately 1396 food boxes, 310 holiday turkeys, 180 meals for senior citizens, 1594 youth weekend breakfast, 349 youth summer lunch, not to mention at every event we served a hot community meal. 14th Annual Easter Egg Dash The Easter Egg Dash served 49 families with 77 children dashing for over 2000 eggs. Chocolate bunnies, baskets, carnival games, face painting, and a community pancake breakfast served to all.11th Annual School Supply Distribution In 2025, ROCK distributed supplies to Dolores County and Egnar, CO children aged pre-K through high school, which were broken down into 74 high school students, 55 middle school students, and 117 grade school students. A total of 246 students received supplies per teacher lists. ROCK provided school lanyards, water bottle and backpacks. At the same time, we distributed school supplies, we also had a community BBQ to kick off the new school year sponsored and prepared by Atmos Energy. 13th Halloween Spook-tacular Carnival (Trunk or Treat) ROCKs 2025 Spooktacular Carnival took place as a Trunk-or-treat carnival again this year. ROCK setup 29 booths, including the local Ambulance, Sheriff, Search and Rescue and the Egnar Fire Department of unique fun carnival games for our youth. The Dove Creek FFA (16 members) also created a kid-friendly haunted house. We served 114 youth and children, and 55 families attended. We also had over 46 volunteers manning booths & 22 individuals who baked cakes for the cake walk, including youth and adult, help with this event. Santa Comes to Town One of ROCKs largest events is bringing Santa to town. It is a large community appreciation celebration that has a free chili dinner, s'mores, and hot chocolate. Youth get to see Santa and receive candy canes, free beanies, scarves and gloves. Everyone who attends enjoys the Christmas lights and singing Christmas Carols. This year 142 youth sat on Santas lap, 106 took hats gloves, scarves. Total attendance for the event was 245 not including numerous volunteers helping with the event including the Dove Creek FFA.17th Annual Angel Tree Program The Angel Tree Program reaches out to families who need help putting gifts under the tree for their children. In 2025, volunteers coordinated, wrapped, and distributed gifts to 69 low-income children equaling out to 30 families total. Each Angel received filled stockings and donated gifts from those in our community and each family received a food box that included a turkey and all the makings for a holiday dinner. There were a total of 69 volunteers donated gifts and time for this program. 9th Annual Golden Angel Distribution In 2025, ROCK and ROCK volunteers delivered 180 meals to our senior citizens, 37 households had 2 seniors and 106 single households. They also received a hot homemade turkey dinner with all the sides and fixings including pumpkin pie, cranberry and olives. The seniors also received gifts of puzzles, word searches, lotions, soaps and treats. Volunteers came together for this event to shop, cook, package, and deliver the items.
