QCRA leverages the FIRST robotics program to advance STEM education, supporting approximately 21 middle and high school robotics teams comprising 300 students. In addition to coaching and mentoring these teams, QCRA serves as the fiscal sponsor, overseeing funds and expenses. Collaboratively, we conduct fundraising initiatives to reduce participation costs for families facing financial constraints. Furthermore, our extensive outreach efforts promote STEM education and career opportunities, reaching over 5,000 individuals annually.. Starting in 2024, QCRA also been selected as the local host for the NASA Interenational Space Apps Challenge hackathon in Charlotte. Further expanding our impact to additional population in the Carolinas.

YETI Robotics started in 2011 and is one of the original teams. Team YETI served over 70 students with its core team in its year-long program. At the same time, launched 7 FTC, middle school, teams and 6 FLL, elementary schools, teams. All are organizations that utilize QCRA as its fiscal sponsors, and up to date more than 6 teams have won awards for outstanding performance and advanced to the State Championship.
