Patient Services: The organization provides 24/7/365 comprehensive forensic nursing care to adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and physical assault. Services include detailed medical forensic examinations, documentation of findings, forensic photography, and evidence collection to support civil, criminal, and administrative investigations and prosecutions. DCFNE partners with hospitals and community-based victim advocacy organizations to deliver coordinated care and actively participates in the District of Columbia Sexual Assault Response Team (DC SART) to strengthen the citywide response to survivors.
