The organization remained dormant during the entire fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and is in the process of returning remaining grant funds and closing down operations.Due to continued financial challenges the board voted to lay off all staff in October of 2022 with the exception of Karl Benson the Executive Director. Programing was mainly focused on North View Middle School at the time. Karl's focus was to develop a new mentoring program with Minneapolis Parks & Recreation in North Minneapolis as part of a new grant received in October. The development of the program did not progress and in February of 2023 Karl resigned. In March of 2023, the board voted to dissolve the organization and to stop receiving donations effective immediately. Communication to donors, grantors, volunteers, and other stakeholders took place on April 1, 2023.
