The K-12 program at Beyond Benign consists of professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers from elementary through high school level, and also open access curriculum materials for educators. Professional development opportunities include on-line courses for middle and high school level educators, as well as a regular webinar series for teachers. In addition, in-person hands-on workshops are run for educators to train teachers on greener chemistry approaches for implementation in the classroom. All curriculum resources are made available to educators free-of-charge through an on-line curriculum database.

Higher Education is a program developed to increase the adoption of green chemistry in higher education institutions. The Organization facilitates a consortium program of college and university chemistry departments and hosts working groups for the faculty to engage in collaboration to advance green chemistry. Work includes development of resources that fill resource gaps, training faculty on tools and techniques for adopting greener chemistry, and hosting conferences and seminars for sharing best practices in higher education. All developed resources are placed on-line for educators to download free of charge.

The organization developed an online community space (the Green Chemistry Teaching and Learning Community) for the green chemistry education community to share resources, connect with each other and collaborate. The platform was launched in October of 2023 and features a resource clearinghouse for green chemistry resources, coupled with networking and collaboration tools to grow capacity for educators to integrate green chemistry in their teaching and practice.
