Physical fitness and discipline Running: Physical fitness training is a significant part of this program and supports the overall goal of job readiness. Many of the participants in the program do not have stable housing or are in transitional living arrangements. Additionally many of the participants are in or have been through the criminal justice system. Many lack the discipline required to attain and maintain a job such as waking up early and being on time for work. A regular morning run is a requirement for the program as this builds the skills required to be ready for work in the morning. Participant job retention is important to our participants and to our program. This aspect of training is a major motivational factor to acheive our goals.

Life Spiritual and Motivational Skills Hope: Another service Run Hope Work provides is hope training. This is in the form of Life Spiritual and Motivational training. Training in this area is accomplished through hope workshops which includes both group and individual workshops along with leadership lectures. Group and individual workshops are centered around participant development through group sharing and individual exercises. Along with these workshops leaders in the community are invited to share their experiences to provide messages of hope and inspiration to bolster the spirt and motivate participants in becoming new leaders in their communities.

Job Skills Training Work: Run Hope Work is a workforce development program for construction finish trades. One of the primary goals of the organization is to prepare participants for employment in construction trades so that jobs can be earned at the completion of the program. Most of the preparation occurs in book learning and hands-on construction trade training. Participants the primary skills in the installation fields of mill-work flooring drywall and painting. Additionally participants learn soft skills such as resume building and effective interviewing.
