Leap to Success provides empowerment and leadership programs for women who are recovering from domestic violence, homelessness, addiction, and other challenges. This year, we expanded our capabilities and are now training and licensing other organizations across the country to use our innovative curriculum. In 2024, our Leap to Confidence program provided 163 women with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive. Additionally, 125 women participated in Empowerment Circles and received ongoing support in the bi-weekly program. The Leap to Confidence for Helping Professionals course was attended by 38 people from multiple organizations. The 11th cohort of Transformation Leadership is being attended by 11 women. In our six-month post-program survey, Leap to Confidence graduates reported that:97% Handle stress more effectively95% Change negative thinking to positive actions93% Confident in their abilitiesOver 1,400 community members, including professionals in social service agencies, attended outreach and education sessions delivered by our staff. These sessions covered stress management techniques, our confidence-building curriculum and the inspiring stories of our graduates. 2024 brought many awards and special recognition including:-Dana Bristol-Smith, CEO & Founder was honored with the Women of Impact Award by Assemblymember Tasha Boerner of the 77th Assembly District-State Senator Catherine Blakespear, recognized Leap to Success as outstanding non-profit of the year. -Leap to Success was the featured non-profit in Discover Magazines Power Women event and Dana Bristol-Smith received a Power Women of SD Award.
