Tailored Day Services - The California Department of Developmental Services launched this program several years ago and Ignite was asked to participate by the community college. The program is administered by the states "Regional Centers". (The state program is fully described here ... http://www.dds.ca.gov/WorkServices/docs/tailoredDayProgramI.pdf ) For most clients it involves educational assistance but for others it can also involve the search for employment. Clients are referred by the State Regional Center system and Ignite assists with achieving the goals provided. Most clients are diagnosed with ASD but many other challenges are addressed. The goal of the program is to develop the skills necessary to achieve client goals such that support can decrease over time or move on to new client goals.

Kindling Studios - The non-profit entity Studio Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA continues to donate artist studio space into which Ignite has designed a full time artist studio program for its clients. This is supported through private donations and artist fees. (The program is described here ... http://www.kindlingstudios.org ) There are 10-15 clients enrolled in the program. They receive instruction in a wide variety of forms: sewing, painting, jewelry, ceramics, wood, fabric coloring, photography and associated business/organizational skills.
