In 2024 City Without Orphans continued to work with hundreds of current and former foster youth between the ages of 16-26 in Fresno County. Youth clients were able to continue accessing food and personal care items from a no-cost store (The Closet) housed within our shared youth drop-in space. Youth clients were taken on field trips in the community where they were able to experience educational activities and gain exposure to nature and recreational activities. Multiple clients were given assistance with securing housing and job access. Life skill classes such as parenting courses, financial literacy programs and other critical courses were offered and completed by youth clients. Regular meals were offered to our clients, supported by community volunteers and donors. Respite care nights for foster and adoptive families were offered, providing families with a safe childcare option and giving parents much-needed rest.
