We built our region's premier healthcare facility - a full lab and 300+ medicines, a full Nepali staff of 12, 2 government-funded nurse-midwives, a fully female labor and delivery team, and 24/7 emergency care. The Oda Foundation Clinic emphasizes preventative care + critical services, healthcare equality, and emergency medical coverage. For Medical Emergencies, we cover costs families would otherwise be unable to undertake living on $1 a day.

We partner with local communities and governments to build a scalable, replicable model for improving education in Nepal's most under-resourced regions. We are working hand in hand with local educators and officials to repair a broken education system. Our students face severe poverty, severe lack of teacher accountability, gender discrimination, and caste-based bullying and discrimination. We teach management, attendance tracking, lesson planning, data collection, and more to sustainably strengthen the public education system. These costs include Books, Teacher Salaries, and Capital Improvements. This also included sponsorship programs for children to attend vocational schools outside of Kalikot as well as local government school support. The program has expanded to include a public private partnership with the local government school, serving over 400 additional students.

The Foundation continued work on a women's empowerment program - providing health education and reusable sanitation kits to women in the region. Work also began on a woman's cooperative. Our work is dependent on collaboration with local leaders and governments, working directly on challenges from data collection, to coordinated emergency responses, to women's equality.
