Program Service Accomplishments: ChickTech High School:This program is designed to introduce a variety of STEM skills and career options to students through virtual and in-person workshops and mentorshiop for students in grades 8-12 with a focus on girls and gender-diverse students. The goal of the program is to reach students whose identities are traditionally underrepresented and underserved by providing free programming and support services such as laptops and internet access at no cost. 141 individuals were served. We provided 1-on-1 mentorshop, 2 day in-person hackaton in Portland, Oregon, and a virtual workshop series focused on artificial intelligence for high school students. ChickTech hosted 13 events and served a total of 3,151 program hours. We expanded mentorship resources to increase the number of students served. We improved registration process for students and mentors and introduced an interactive portal and more robust onboarding. We partnered with Disney, Spirit Mountain, and PGE Foundation to recruit mentors, grow program resources, and expand accessibility. ChickTech Career: This program focuses on supporting and retaining women and gender diverse people in tech by providing a free career fair, webinars, and networking opportunities. We served 781 individuals. We delivered events including a virtual career fair, and virtual networking. With the career fair, we launched a brand new portal that facilitated direct connections between diverse job seekers and hiring managers. In collaboration with Experian, we co-hosted a webinar focused on using AI to grow your career. The virtual career fair had participation from 8 sponsoring tech companies committed to diverse and equitable hiring practices.
