THE MIDLAND STORYTELLING FESTIVAL SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR 28TH YEAR OF PROVIDING A FESTIVAL THAT HAS SOMETHING FOR ALL AGES. STORY IS FOR EVERYONE. TO THAT END WE CONDUCTED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS IN 2019:A) EDUCATION CONNECTION DAY - PROVIDING PROGRAMS FOR 3,918 STUDENTS IN NUMEROUS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN THE AREA.B) SENIOR PROGRAM - A SPECIAL STORYTELLING PROGRAM FOR RESIDENTS AT MANOR PARK FOR THE FOURTH YEAR.C) COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES - WE PROVIDED FOUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AT A VARIETY OF TIMES DURING THE FESTIVAL WEEKEND TO PROVIDE AS MANY OPPORTUNITIES AS POSSIBLE FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY THIS ART FORM. ALL PROGRAMS WERE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.D) YOUTH STORYTELLING CONTEST - WORKSHOPS TO TEACH/COACH CHILDREN AGES 5 TO 18 YEARS OF AGE IN THE ART OF PERFORMING STORIES. PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED PRIZES AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THEIR STORIES DURING THE FESTIVAL.E) LEGACY STORYTELLING WORKSHOPS - DEVELOPED AND CONDUCTED A WORKSHOP TO TEACH PARTICIPANTS TO TELL THEIR OWN STORIES A
