Workers Rights: Through our Workers Rights program, we convene workers organizations and community groups into an alliance to advance a shared agenda for immigrant and low-wage workers. This includes developing shared strategy, participating in solidarity events and trainings with the alliances various organizations. We mobilized our members, jointly with other service organizations impacted by the mayors proposed budget cuts, to advocate together for a just budget for the city of San Francisco, one that doesnt cut essential services. In 2024 we advanced our coalition California Labor for Climate Jobs by continuing to push for good union jobs in the new energy economy, protections for workers from climate hazards such as extreme heat, supports for oil and gas workers facing industry transitions, and funding to build climate resilient infrastructure for schools.
