In 2023, Redeeming Love Ministries empowered the most vulnerable families in the DRC. We did this through providing tuition, uniforms and supplies to over 750 children. This support includes our feeding center with monthly distribution to the community families of food, material for clothing, and life-saving soap for hygiene. We also partner with 13 schools in our community. When we started helping the children in the Mountain area of Byazi, they were meeting under a tree in the worst of conditions without running water or a roof over their head to protect them from the elements. We now have 200 children attending that school on a regular basis and are supported by RLM. We also completed a Hope Center in Kavumu that provides food and education on hygiene. In Luwindja, we began expanding our current Hope Center to be able to facilitate 1000 children and widows in our feeding program, house our new trade school that was previously located in a small room in the old Hope Center, and to provide a meeting place for the over 150 participants in our microfinance program.
