In 2023, Senior Alliance for Empowerment ("SAFE") received a federal HUD/CDBG award of $175,000 through the City of Thousand Oaks, CA. SAFE is a contracted sub-recipient. SAFE provides assistance to seniors in mobile home parks that are 62 years of age or older with very or extremely low income. During 2023, SAFE provided the following:1. Two central heating and A/C systems.2. Two downflow furnaces.3. One whole home A/C condenser.SAFE also receives smaller donations and uses those to complete less expensive projects needed by its target demographic of very low and extremely low income seniors and veterans.
