Program Teams - Girls on the Run Capital Region offered two seasons of programming, Fall and Spring, to youth in our service area of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren & Washington County. Volunteer coaches provided positive youth development programming and 5K training to girls in grades 3-8. Two hundred and ten girls participated in the Fall 2023 program and three hundred and seventy-seven participated in the Spring 2024 season.

5K events - Two Celebration 5K events are held each year as culminating events for the Girls on the Run season. The Fall 5k took place at Jennings Landing in Albany, NY and the Spring 5k took place at the Joseph L Bruno Stadium in Troy, NY. At both events, we hosted program participants, coaches, running buddies, community runners, spectators and our incredible volunteers. There were over 2100 participants in attendance between the two events.
