The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities general operating support was instrumental in allowing Hola Cultura to provide professional training for 51 teenagers and young adult interns, fellows and volunteers in our Spelling Program for Experimental Learning (SPEL) program; and 23 adult contributions to our Spanish Literary program. Volunteers and interns receive professional development training, professional editing and publication of 90 interviews and articles and 13 podcast episodes in English and Spanish and weekly event lisings, featuring and promoting a total of more than 400 Washington-area Latinx artists, writers and other creative leaders. The interviews were also published on the organization's website www.holacultura.com, and shared via social media. Our 2023 productions also included two podcast series, an environmental justice project and an in-person event.

2023 Community Culture & Heritage Grant funds provided by HumanitiesDC also supported our " Artistas in the Capital" podcast project, a monthly conversation with local artists, musicians, dancers, writers and other Latinx creatives that began in June 2023 and aired six of 12 episodes during 2023, while producing another six episodes aired in 2024. The interviews selected for the podcast had been previous conducted by Hola Cultura's SPEL youth storytelling program.

A 2023 General Operating Support Grant from the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation also supported providing professional training for 51 teenagers and young adult interns, fellows and volunteers in our SPEL program, and 23 adult contributors to our Spanish Litery program. Volunteers and interns receive professional development training, professional editing and publication services provided by HC staff, resulting in the production and publication of 90 interviews and articles and 13 podcast episodes in English and Spanish and weekly event listings featuring and promoting Washington-area Lininx artists, writers and other creative leaders.
