Specifically, HSP worked in > 30 countries to provide training and mentorship in U.S. and international best practices and brought together multisector stakeholders to develop and implement policies on the full range of issues surrounding health security and biological/chemical threats. HSP provided targeted small grants to bolster institutional capacities, allowing professionals from partner countries to engage with U.S. and international experts to develop local sustainable solutions. HSP supported policy-relevant risk assessments on current and emerging security threats.
