THE SOCIETY ENCOURAGES THE FREE FLOW OF INFORMATION BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS AND INTERESTED GROUPS, THROUGH WORKSHOP MEETINGS AND TEACHING PROGRAMS, AND BY THE DISSEMINATION OF A CLASSIFICATION SCHEME AND PERTINENT SCIENTIFIC DATA.
