In 2025, My Very Own Bed reached 2,009 children in 905 families with a new bed and Dream Kit (bedding, book, and stuffed animal), up from 1,806 children in 793 families in 2024, and 1,726 children in 741 families in 2023. Many of the kids receiving beds have been sleeping on the floor or an air mattress or sharing a bed, and most have recently experienced homelessness. The beds provide the children with a comfortable space of their own on which to get restorative and nurturing sleep that will help them thrive in their new home and at school. They also contribute to the families' housing stability by providing an essential item that they may not otherwise be able to afford that helps turn the new house into a home.
