One Family Productions is a group of family and friends inspired by the idea that life is enriched by art with music at its soul. We think it is imperative to give back to the community, and our flagship program Front Porch Fest is our way of make a difference in our little area of the planet. One Family Productions' beginnings were traditional in the most Appalachian way - sitting on the front porch, burning a fire late into the night, and listening to friends make music into the open air. After what had been a gathering of friends, something much bigger was born. Little did they know at the time, but the fellowship that was celebrated that day in 2008 was the spark that would ignite a movement of art and community in Patrick County that is continuing to spread to this day. The next year, the flagship event Front Porch Fest was born. The festival aims to promote tourism to the Front Porch of the Blue Ridge Mountains and introduce local, regional, and national artists of multiple genres to music lovers across the region. With the support of an ever growing group of dedicated volunteers, One Family Productions spent the next decade producing a variety of annual events within Patrick County, focusing on the goal of celebrating music, community, and home. In 2016 OFP forged a partnership with the Reynolds Homestead in producing Bushels & Barrels, a local food, beer, and wine festival. The following year, after a long-standing partnership with the local Jaycee Chapter, OFP was handpicked to take over Santa's reins and began producing the beloved Christmas Parade. In collaboration with WHEO Radio in 2018, OFP set its sights on downtown Stuart and began producing the wildly successful First Friday Summer Jam Series. One Family Productions joined forces with Patrick County Chamber of Commerce in 2019 to work on Hometown Christmas celebrations, and was able to leverage its organizational integrity and skilled volunteer pool to add value to the established events that surround and support this kick off to the holiday season in Patrick County. Since its incorporation, the goals of One Family Productions have remained simple: to provide rich artistic experiences for the community, and support other nonprofits along the way. Cultivating inclusive events has served as a compass for OFP's work. Passion for the cause continues to grow, just like it did that first night on the music-filled, Blue Ridge front porch. We can't wait for you to join our family.
