WICHITA ANIMAL ACTION LEAGUE IS AN ACTION-ORIENTED GROUP DEDICATED TO REDUCING PET OVERPOPULATION AND PREVENTING & MITIGATING CRISIS FOR ANIMALS WITHIN IN THE SEDGWICK CO, KS AREA.2. PROVIDING EDUCATION AND SUPPORT FOR RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP, THEREBY EMPOWERING FAMILIES TO PROVIDE SAFE, LOVING ENVIRONMENTS FOR THEIR PETS.3. FOSTERING AND ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT OF AT-RISK PETS, ENSURING THAT THEY FIND HOMES WHERE THEY CAN BRING JOY AND COMPANIONSHIP.4. HELPING FAMILIES KEEP THEIR PETS, PREVENTING UNNECESSARY SHELTER SURRENDERS AND PRESERVING THE VITAL EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND WELL-BEING THAT PETS PROVIDE TO THEIR OWNERS.IN 2025 WE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING TOWARDS SUPPORTING THIS MISSION.1. COMPLETED 4,291 SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES ON DOGS & CATS THROUGH OUR SPAY IF FORWARD PROGRAM. 2. BROUGHT 1,268 ANIMALS INTO OUR ORGANIZATION, CARED FOR THEM IN FOSTER HOMES AND ADOPTED OUT 1,235 ANIMAL INTO LOVING HOMES. 3. ASSISTED 51 PEOPLE SUFFERING IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SITUATIONS AND VETERANS NEEDED IN HOUSE TREATMENT WITH TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR THEIR PETS THROUGH OUR SAFE PAWS ALLIANCE PROGRAM. 4. ASSISTED 350 ANIMALS THAT WERE LIVING IN POOR CONDITIONS OR GENERALLY NEGLECTED THROUGH OUR WELFARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. 5. DISTRIBUTED OVER 250,000 LBS OF PET FOOD TO PEOPLE IN NEED THROUGH OUR PET FOOD BANK.6. PROVIDED LOW COST VET ARE VIA OUR ALPHA (AFFORDABLE LOCAL PET HEALTH ASSISTANCE TO 541 ANIMALS. 7. WAAL'S PETS FOR LIFE (PFL) AND ANIMAL CARE COLLECTIVE (ACC) PROGRAMS ARE DEDICATED TO KEEPING PETS IN LOVING HOMES AND OUT OF SHELTERS BY PROVIDING RESOURCES AND EDUCATION TO FAMILIES IN THE PLANEVIEW AND HILLTOP COMMUNITIES.
