GREAT PLAINS PLATTE VALLEY APARTMENTS, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT WAS FORMED IN 1992 UNDER THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUTES OF THE STATE OF NEBRASKA. THE CORPORATION, WHICH WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING THREE 10-UNIT COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN GRAND ISLAND, KEARNEY AND NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA, IS KNOWN AS THE PLATTE VALLEY APARTMENTS AND PROVIDES HOUSING FOR DISABLED VETERANS. THE CORPORATION IS SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) SECTION 202 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED. ADDITIONALLY, THE CORPORATION HAS ENTERED INTO A STANDARD FEDERAL HOUSING ADMINISTRATION ("FHA") REGULATORY AGREEMENT GOVERNING THE OPERATION OF THE COMMUNITY WITH THE FHA SECTION OF HUD. ALSO, THE CORPORATION IS PARTY TO A HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS CONTRACT ("HAP CONTRACT") WITH HUD. THE HAP CONTRACT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES (OR PERSONS) UNDER SECTION 8 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED, FOR ALL 30 UNITS.
