During 2025, BNHS provided a broad range of housing, financial, tax and community support services to Bronx residents and surrounding communities. The Pre-Purchase program secured 50 mortgage pre-approvals with a total value of $14,720,561. Overall, the organization secured $932,000 in grant assistance during the year. 20 clients completed home closings, including 15 who received grant assistance and 5 who closed without grants. The Clean Energy program served 46 clients, who were awarded a total of $460,395 in grants for energy efficiency and weatherization improvements.In addition, the Healthy Home Production Grant supported the completion of improvements on 6 homes with $150,000 expended in 2025. The Tax Preparation program served 2,427 clients and generated $5,165,829 in tax refunds for participating households. Foreclosure Prevention services assisted 41 clients, resulting in 5 approved loan modifications and 9 additional modification cases pending at year-end. The Home Repair program served 70 clients. Of these, 8 received retrofit assistance, 15 obtained HELOC loans, 10 were referred to the HomeFix grant program, and 15 were submitted for Project Helps grants, with 8 approvals totaling $200,000. An additional 32 clients were placed on a waiting list for future grant opportunities. Bronx NHS also participated in the New York City Tax Lien initiative involving 4,881 homes identified for lien sale. Through advocacy and case assistance, 2,306 homes were removed from the lien sale list by helping homeowners secure payment plans and correcting listing errors. The Pathways Forward wraparound services program screened 400 clients and connected them to agencies providing food assistance, housing support, and workforce development services. Bronx NHS also conducted 2 Securing Your Legacy workshops that educated 150 clients on wills and trusts, and 10 individuals remained in the pipeline for follow-up estate planning services at year-end. Through marketing and outreach, Bronx NHS actively engaged a network of more than 11,000 contacts. The organization distributed 4 newsletters, maintained an active social media presence, and generated a steady flow of new applicants, with more than 3,500 client intakes recorded in 2025.
