THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE DICKSON COUNTY FAMILY YMCA IS TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY THROUGH ITS FOCUS ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE ORGANIZATION WELCOMES ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO JOIN, SUPPORT, AND VOLUNTEER AT THE YMCA.

OUR YMCA PROGRAM, SUMMER DAY CAMP, OFFERS A BROAD RANGE OF EXPERIENCES THAT ENRICH COGNITIVE, SOCIAL, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH. DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO ENABLE ALL TO ATTEND. HEALTHY LIVING - THE YMCA IS A LEADING VOICE IN HEALTH AND WELLNESS. WE BRING FAMILIES CLOSER TOGETHER. WE ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH AND FOSTER CONNECTIONS THROUGH FITNESS, SPORTS, FUN AND SHARED INTERESTS. THIS RESULTS IN YOUTH, INDIVIDUALS, AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY RECEIVING THE SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO ACHIEVE GREATER HEALTH IN SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT AS OUR NATION CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE WITH CHRONIC DISEASES LIKE DIABETES, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, AND OBESITY. OUR PROGRAMS ARE ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE AND ARE OPEN TO ALL FAITHS, BACKGROUNDS, ABILITIES AND INCOME LEVELS.
