Transitional housing supports 12 homeless pregnant women and their children for up to 24 months. 5 residents are enrolled in high school to obtain their diploma are in a vocational training program four have secured full-time employment. Two school-aged children of residents are enrolled in elementary school. All residents receive supportive services including health insurance prenatal care and workshops on life skills financial management budgeting nutrition workplace readiness parenting and birthing. Additionally they are provided with food clothing infant supplies personal care items childcare infant formula assistance in securing permanent housing and referrals to community services. 10 clients have successfully delivered healthy infants. 6 have transitioned to permanent housing.
Women of Strength Nevada also support food insecure individuals and families with food and other essentials in Southern Nevada supporting 80.000 individuals and families annually.
