We continue to engage the voices of young people in our community as well, through our Civics Education Initiative at the high school level. Through three curriculum units, delivered in the Fall semester to over 500 students, participants receive civility training, engage in classroom discussions and critically assess the impact of today's media on civic discourse. Taking skills they learn in the Fall semester, 74 students continued into the Spring semester as Student Ambassadors. In this role, students engaged in a project-based learning experience that gave them the opportunity to work together to build their own APS program. In April 2023, students hosted the program, "Life and Legislation: America's BIG Divide on Abortion."
