The Broken Wall invests half of its total program expenses into our community of West Baltimore. Our support that is centered around North Bend EMS and its surrounding communities constitutes 92% of our these community investments. From NBEMS staff appreciation and school supports, investments in school wide programs and events, beautification and securing of North Bend EMS and its surrounding communities, to strengthening the PTO of North Bend, we are uniquely positioned to understand the needs and concerns of the community because we live, work, and worship there. Additionally, we run two out of school time programs: THRIVE, which builds the social and emotional health of youth through mindfulness, sports, and entrepreneurship, and Fernway, which gives youth outdoor experiences that enrich their well-being. Our remaining community investment is in our Neighboring Program where we provide and deliver food, clothing, furniture, and rental assistance to our neighbors who are most in need.

Our weekly gathered worship of 15-25 people at the school and in the neighborhood in which we serve in West Baltimore, our accessible prayer meetings online of 6-10 people and mentoring are of paramount value in preparation for serving our neighbors in West Baltimore with love, respect, and kindness.

The Broken Wall believes that we are better together. Therefore, we support and build partnerships and coalitions with organizations who hold that same belief. Our most vital partnerships assist us in the work that we do in West Baltimore and also serve the most vulnerable in their communities. These partnerships enable us to better serve the families of West Baltimore including the neighborhoods of Westgate, Beechfield, Yale Heights, Edmondson Village, Tremont, and Irvington.
