Connected Kids Preschool was integrated into the Owasso Public School System as the Lift Off Program. It serves children ages 3-5 years who have been identified as being unsuccessful in the typical classroom due to behavior but are ineligible for other school interventions (ex. IEP). Program participants are often in foster care, have been recently adopted, or have been referred by their school counselor. Children will participate in play-base experiences three times a week for 3 hours in an early childhood setting with three teachers. Activities will be carefully planned to bring organization to the brain through patterned, repetitive, rhythmic touch, sound, and movement. Through these experiential lessons, students will increase academic skills and develop a sense of joy and hope for the future.
