General Immigration Assistance - The General Immigration Assistance program provides expert legal guidance to immigrants and their families, helping them navigate pathways to lawful status. This program covers family-based relief, citizenship and naturalization, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and work authorization cases. We focus on helping eligible individuals advance toward U.S. citizenship with the support and resources they need. In 2025, JFAI provided 684 legal consultations. Additionally, attorneys worked on 359 work authorization cases, 110 citizenship and naturalization cases, and 412 family-based immigration cases. By the end of the year, 147 clients obtained work authorization, 40 became Lawful Permanent Residents, and 33 clients became U.S. citizens.

Deportation defense - Justice for all Immigrants provides legal support to immigrants facing deportation and detention in Greater Houston. Through a universal representation model, we partner with local legal service providers to ensure detained individuals have access to competent legal representation. Attorneys represent individuals in immigration detention, including bond and merits hearings and filing applications for relief and appeals. Providing legal representation ensures procedural fairness consistent with immigration law and constitutional mandates.

Survivors' Assistance - The Survivors Assistance Program supports immigrants who have survived domestic violence and other violent crimes. This program helps immigrant survivors pursue lawful immigration status, offering them a safer, more stable life in the United States. Justice for all Immigrants provides pro bono legal representation to help clients apply for U-Visas, Lawful Permanent Residency, work authorization, and relief under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Legal staff assist clients with collecting evidence, writing affidavits, and filing complex applications and connecting clients to social services, shelters, and trauma support through trusted community partners.
