Tampa Hillsborough Film and Digital Media Commission (Film Tampa Bay) is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership division of Visit Tampa Bay (VTB) empowered to attract, facilitate, troubleshoot, and permit filming in the Hillsborough County region as well as market the destination to production companies and film producers to generate economic impact for Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa. Since 2013 Film Tampa Bay has provided comprehensive logical support for 4000+ productions, resulting in more than $100 million dollars in direct economic spending. Film Tampa Bay is the current top Film specific marketing agency in the State of Florida and is recognized as an innovative leader amongst all film commissions in the US.

In fiscal year 2024, the film commission had the following accomplishments:Met with more than 150 individuals/companies in Tampa Bay that are utilizing digital media technologies.Worked with film Florida to maintain emerging filmmaker scholarships.Completed 12 industry newsletters on local companies and launched a complete brand refresh and corresponding campaigns.(continued on Schedule O) Maintained podcast "Loose Framing" completing our 42 episodes.Film festivals:-attended Sunscreen Film Festival-attended Toronto Film Festival-attended Gasparilla Film Festival- attended Tribeca Film Festival- attended Cannes Film Festival- attended Sundance Film FestivalIndustry conferences:-attended Film Florida quarterly and annual meetings-attended SXSW conference-attended Marche' Du Film (France)Familiarization tours:- held fam tours for numerous projects, resulting in 9 feature films shooting in Tampa BayExecutive director reelected Film Florida vice president. As well the board president of TBCN (Tampa Bay Community Network), Tampa Bay's public access tv station.Continued community event in partnership with Tampa Theatre - hosted four community screenings free to local residents with filmmakers in attendance.
