Compass Outreach and Education Center, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is committed to providing accessible, high-quality education to students who need it most. In 2024, Compass Outreach and Education Center embraced a year filled with creativity, resilience, and growth. We kicked off with team-building activities, celebrated cultural events like Hispanic Heritage Month and Black History Month, and brought learning to life through hands-on experiences such as passion-based projects, mock elections, entrepreneurship workshops, and STEM challenges like our student-designed theme parks. Our students showcased innovation in the annual Cardboard Boat Race, the Trashion Show, and at our Winter Bazaar, while also nurturing emotional growth through social-emotional learning activities and tending to our school garden. We cooked, crafted, read, created, and explored the world around us with field trips and storytelling. Despite the lasting impact of the 2023 flood, we maintained full enrollment, completed renovations, and returned to our school stronger than ever. From civic engagement to small business development, our students flourished in an environment that champions curiosity, compassion, and confidence. 30 families served
