2024 Performances:Spring Repertory Season featured the staging of the Act 2 Scene 2 of Don Quixote, the Dream Sequence, featuring 9 new apprentice dancers welcomed into the company alongside 6 older dancers. The second half of the program featured a re-staging of choreographer Constantine Baechers Childrens Corner which first premiered at New Chamber Ballet in New York City. Alongside Baecher, we welcomed back 2019 cast member Alex Schwartz to assist in the studio rehearsals.Lake Tahoe Dance Festival and Young dancers workshop hosted artists from NYC Ballet, Ballet Arizona, Boston Ballet, LA Dance Project, Houston Ballet, Broadway, Erick Hawkins Dance, and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Our Young Dancer workshop hosted two levels of dancers, 16 in total, over three weeks. Our guests performed excerpts from Broadway Shows, revived classics, and three newly-commissioned works for the festival by choreographers Daniel Baudendistel & Valerie Madonia, Maxfield Haines, and Daphne Fernberger. An added performance in King Beach with tickets at just $25 maximized community outreach.Our Tahoe Nutcracker returned in the holiday season to record-breaking audiences, all while keeping ticket prices under $30.2024 Classes & Education:Continued to offer classes in Incline Village, NV and Tahoe City, CA for ages three and up. Many of our students require financial assistance to attend ballet classes due to the high cost of living in our area.
