Videotape Preservation: MIPoPS works with nonprofits, filmmakers and artists to preserve videotape materials in their collections by providing digitizing, hands-on training, long-term digital storage, and consultation services as part of our core program. Moving History: In order to promote access to videotape materials digitized and raise awareness about the importance of archival work, MIPoPS hosts Moving History, a quarterly archival screening night series at the Northwest Film Forum to showcase clips from the video recently preserved by partnering institutions. Educational Workshops: MIPoPS hosts and facilitates workshops for the archival community. DVRescue & Digital Video Commander: Funded by a research and development grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, DVRescue is a set of tools designed for preserving archival videotape in DV formats.
